Largest Intel Developer Forum in China Kicks Off 2007 Schedule

WHAT: The first Intel Developer Forum (IDF) of 2007 and the
largest ever held in China aims to drive innovations and
foster powerful collaborations through vision, training and
networking opportunities. IDF Beijing, delivering most
content in Chinese and English, will focus on how
energy-efficient technologies and products can bring
unprecedented performance to customers, transform the
industry and power innovations through a mix of programs,
including:
Training: 21 technology tracks, 84 technical sessions, 4
hands-on labs and 13 Chalk Talks will cover such areas as
mobile, server and desktop platform technologies and trends;
multi-core architecture; multi-core threading workshop;
global impact investment; ultra mobile platform design;
embedded designs and solutions; I/O and application
acceleration; tera-scale computing research; software;
memory; power and thermal management; gaming technologies;
and battery life for mobility.
Vision: The strongest keynote lineup at a China IDF consists
of Justin Rattner, chief technology officer and Intel Senior
Fellow, Corporate Technology Group; Patrick Gelsinger,
senior vice president and general manager, Digital
Enterprise Group; Eric Kim, senior vice president and
general manager, Digital Home Group; and David Perlmutter,
senior vice president and general manager, Mobility Group.
Intel Fellows Mark Bohr and Geoff Lowney will discuss
silicon technology leadership and software performance
optimization, respectively, in their Technology Insights.
Also appearing are Wee Theng Tan, vice president, Corporate
Affairs Group, president, Intel China; and Wen-Hann Wang,
vice president, Software and Solutions Group, general
manager, Software and Solutions and Product Development.
Exhibition: The sold-out IDF Technology Showcase is where
leading companies from around the world will be on display,
many having hands-on demonstrations of their newest
innovations and future technologies.
Networking: IDF offers valuable opportunities to speak with
Intel managers and engineers whose work impacts future
technology directions. At the more 13 Chalk Talks, attendees
can have their technical questions answered by industry
experts in an informal classroom setting. Scheduled topics
include WiMAX, Geneseo extensions, tera-scale software,
virtualization and DDR3. In addition, attendees can interact
with Intel technology leaders through the "Meet the Expert"
program.
