Re: Update on McAfee transaction-January 26, 2011

The European Commission (EC) has approved Intel’s acquisition of McAfee.  Intel is pleased to have this last approval process behind it and is comfortable with the terms outlined in the agreement with the EC. Intel believes the agreement will not interfere with its plans to continue to innovate in the critical area of security. We now expect to close the transaction in the current quarter.
